Islamabad (News Desk): The 97th birth anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the founder of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, was celebrated on Sunday. Bhutto was born on January 5, 1928, in Larkana.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto served as the President of Pakistan from 1971 to 1973 and holds the distinction of being the country’s first elected Prime Minister. During his tenure, Bhutto played a key role in the development of Pakistan’s unanimous constitution and granted the common citizen the right to vote and obtain a national identity card.
Bhutto is also credited with laying the foundation for Pakistan’s nuclear program and hosting the first Islamic Summit Conference in the country. His leadership left a lasting impact on both national and international political landscapes.
