Kurram (News Desk): Authorities have identified five individuals involved in the attack on the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kurram. Following the identification, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to arrest the five suspects and their facilitators immediately. Additionally, a bounty has been placed on the heads of the terrorists responsible.
Earlier, an emergency meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was held late at night to review the situation in Kurram. The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, the Inspector General (IG) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other senior officials. During the meeting, it was decided that the local residents, following a peace agreement, would be held responsible for any violations. Authorities also resolved to file an FIR against all individuals involved in the recent shooting incident and to ensure their immediate arrest.
The meeting further emphasized that there would be no leniency towards terrorists, and those aiding them would also face severe consequences.
This development follows a shooting incident earlier this morning in the Baggan area of Lower Kurram, where unknown assailants opened fire, injuring the DC of Kurram and six others. As a result, a convoy bringing essential food supplies to the area, after a three-month hiatus, was halted.
