Gold and Silver Prices See Significant Rise in 2024: Surprising Increase Recorded

As 2024 draws to a close, it has been revealed that both gold and silver prices have experienced a substantial increase, both locally and globally.

Details show that the price of gold surged by 532 dollars per ounce globally during the year, while in Pakistan’s local markets, the price of gold per tola saw a rise of 52,600 rupees and 45,096 rupees per 10 grams.

Similarly, the global price of silver per ounce increased by 5 dollars and 9 cents, with the price of silver per tola in local markets rising by 670 rupees.

On February 14, 2024, the lowest global price of gold was recorded at 2,010 dollars per ounce, with the price per tola in local markets at 210,800 rupees. However, on October 30, gold prices reached their peak, with the global price hitting 2,784 dollars per ounce and the local price reaching 287,900 rupees per tola.

As of the final day of the year, international bullion markets saw gold stabilize at 2,614 dollars per ounce, unchanged from the previous day. In local markets, the price of 24-carat gold per tola remained stable at 272,600 rupees, while the price per 10 grams stood at 233,711 rupees. Silver also maintained its price, with the per tola price staying at 3,350 rupees and 10 grams priced at 2,872.08 rupees.
