Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a remarkable 84% increase in its 100 Index during 2024, with a gain of over 52,000 points.
By the end of the year, the PSX 100 Index closed at 115,126 points, marking a significant upward trend. Throughout the year, the index reached a high of 117,039 points and a low of 59,191 points.
In 2024, a total of 139 billion shares were traded, with the market’s total trading value reaching 5,464 billion Pakistani rupees.
The market capitalization surged by 5,432 billion rupees, reaching a total of 14,495 billion rupees by year-end, showcasing a robust performance in Pakistan’s capital markets.
