Sindh, Pakistan:
A new initiative aimed at increasing wheat production has been launched through a partnership between Swiss agricultural technology company Syngenta and the Sindh government. The program offers free herbicides to farmers to help boost wheat yields across 45,000 acres of land.
The initiative is part of a broader effort by the Sindh Agricultural and Food Corporation (SAFC) to promote agricultural growth and improve wheat production in the region. The goal is to provide free herbicides to 15,000 farmers, enabling them to enhance productivity and profitability through effective herbicide usage.
By utilizing advanced herbicide technology, the program aims to increase wheat yields and contribute to Pakistan’s food security. Additionally, support will be provided to farmers to reduce production costs, addressing challenges in wheat cultivation and improving their livelihoods.
This program represents a comprehensive strategy to tackle wheat cultivation issues, improve farmers’ lives, and stimulate economic growth, all while encouraging investment in the agricultural sector and ensuring food self-sufficiency for Pakistan.
