laboratory has confirmed a new polio case from Dera Ismail Khan, bringing the total number of reported cases in Pakistan this year to 68. This is the 10th polio case from Dera Ismail Khan in 2024.
So far this year, 27 cases have been reported in Balochistan, 20 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19 in Sindh, and one case each in Punjab and Islamabad. These developments highlight the ongoing challenges in the fight against polio in the country, emphasizing the need for continued vaccination efforts to control and eradicate the virus.
