Due to fog, the motorway has been closed for all types of traffic. According to motorway police spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed, the M4 motorway from Abdul Hakeem to Multan has been closed due to fog, while the M5 motorway from Sheer Shah, Multan to Zahir Pir has also been closed.
The spokesperson stated that the motorways are being closed for public safety and to ensure safe travel. Citizens are advised to travel during daylight hours, as the best travel times during foggy weather are from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Additionally, the spokesperson urged drivers to use front and rear fog lights and to avoid unnecessary travel. They also emphasized driving at safe speeds and maintaining a proper distance from the vehicle ahead. For information and assistance, the public is advised to contact the helpline at 130.
Furthermore, after the closure of M4, M5 has also been shut down. Due to the dense fog, entry to the motorway has been restricted. The M5 from Sheer Shah Interchange to Rohri Interchange is closed for all traffic due to the severe fog.
