Swat (News Desk): Federal Minister for SAFRON and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Maqam, stated that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is working tirelessly to revive the country’s economy.
Addressing the “Swat Trade Show 2024” as the chief guest on Sunday, he emphasized the crucial role of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan in empowering local businesses and promoting economic growth in the region.
Maqam highlighted the efforts of the federal government in reducing inflation through strategic measures and providing opportunities for local traders to expand their businesses. He further added that the trade show would boost investment, thereby contributing to the national economy.
The Federal Minister assured that the government is taking steps to address the country’s economic challenges, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with a focus on placing the country on the path of progress.
Engineer Amir Maqam also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially those in Malakand Division and Swat, for the sake of peace. He condemned the repeated attacks on the federal government, calling it an injustice to the people of the province.
Maqam also criticized the misuse of social media, stating that billions of rupees are being spent to undermine the state and its institutions, which he found concerning and unacceptable. He urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to abandon its disruptive politics and redirect provincial resources towards public welfare rather than protests.
He concluded by stating that the PTI’s agenda seems aimed at weakening the state, while the current government is focused on improving economic conditions, with international recognition for Pakistan’s progress. Maqam reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to providing cooperation in areas like peace, health, and other sectors for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He urged the people to question why their time and mandate had been wasted.
