Australia ended their second innings at 9 for 228, with Marnus Labuschagne top-scoring with 70 runs, while captain Pat Cummins contributed 41. Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland were unbeaten on 41 and 10 runs, respectively.
In India’s second innings, Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler, claiming 4 wickets, while Mohammed Siraj took 3.
Australia had posted a total of 474 runs in their first innings, with Steve Smith playing a brilliant knock of 140 runs. India, in reply, were dismissed for 369, with Nitish Kumar Reddy scoring a century.
