Zara Dar, the YouTuber who gained attention for leaving her PhD studies to create bold content, has broken her silence regarding the rumors surrounding her identity.
After her viral statement about quitting her PhD to work on the “OnlyFans” platform, rumors began circulating on social media suggesting that she was from Pakistan. However, Zara Dar took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the situation, revealing that she is not Pakistani but American.
In her post, Zara explained, “Since I made the video about leaving my PhD to work on ‘OnlyFans,’ I’ve seen many posts spreading misinformation about me.” She further emphasized that while she had not given any interviews on the matter, she wanted to set the record straight. “My name is Darcy, and I go by Darz/Dar for short,” she wrote.
Zara also addressed the misconception that she is Pakistani, saying, “With all due respect, I am not Pakistani. I am American, and I was raised here. My family background includes American, Iranian, European, Middle Eastern, and Indian heritage.”
The YouTuber also distanced herself from any fake accounts, products, and deepfake videos circulating under her name, sharing her official X account for verification.
It is noteworthy that Zara Dar had previously made videos focused on positive content before making the shift to bold material. Recently, she announced her decision to leave her PhD studies to work on the OnlyFans platform.
