Islamabad: PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s social media head, Ikram Khatana, has responded to reports of being served a notice by the Islamabad IG over alleged anti-state propaganda. Khatana called the accusations baseless and said he only became aware of them through the media.
“I have not received any notice from the Islamabad IG or any JIT so far,” said Khatana in a statement. He added that if and when he receives the notice, he will consult his legal team before providing an official response.
Khatana accused the Islamabad IG of overstepping his role. “Labeling patriotic citizens as anti-state is a clear attempt by the IG to prove himself overly loyal to the powers that be,” he stated.
The matter has sparked concern among PTI circles, as Khatana emphasized his commitment to addressing the issue legally and transparently.
