Peshawar – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Advisor on Information, Barrister Dr. Saif, has stated that significant progress is expected this week regarding the Kurram issue.
In a statement, Barrister Saif announced that after a two-day pause, the jirga (tribal council) will reconvene. He urged both parties and the people of Kurram to remain vigilant against the conspiracies of anti-peace elements.
He emphasized the need to disregard propaganda circulating on social media by such elements. “There will soon be good news regarding the reopening of roads,” he said. He further noted that a helicopter provided by the Chief Minister is dedicated to delivering medicines and evacuating patients. Over 180 individuals have been transported so far through this facility.
Dr. Saif assured that women, children, patients, and those traveling abroad are being given priority in receiving assistance. Additional flights are planned to continue the relief efforts. He added that the Provincial Disaster Management Authority’s (PDMA) helpline 1700 is fully operational to address any concerns.
