ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take strict measures against human trafficking and identify officials within the agency who may be complicit in such activities.
During a high-level meeting, the prime minister emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in addressing human trafficking issues. He called for a comprehensive review of FIA operations and urged the agency to ensure that its personnel uphold the highest standards of integrity.
The prime minister further instructed FIA officials to accelerate efforts to dismantle trafficking networks and to cooperate with international agencies to curb the illegal practice. He underscored that protecting the rights and dignity of citizens must remain a top priority.
This move comes in light of increasing concerns about human trafficking and its impact on vulnerable populations across the country.
