Islambad:The U.S. Embassy has called on the Afghan government to reconsider its policies of injustice against women.

In a statement issued by the embassy, it was noted that the U.S. concern over the Taliban’s mistreatment of women serves as a warning to Afghan authorities that their denial of justice is not only harmful to Afghanistan but also poses a threat to global human rights efforts.

The embassy further emphasized that the interim Afghan government must acknowledge the global far-reaching consequences of continuously denying women’s rights to education and employment. The closure of health facilities for girls and women is seen as a direct challenge to the global commitment to gender equality.

Diplomatic officials added that the Afghan interim government must review such policies before it is too late, and immediate actions are necessary to prevent further damage to Afghanistan’s future and international standing.

Officials stressed that the U.S. Embassy’s demand for justice and equality should be viewed by the Afghan interim government as a strong warning, with the world closely watching.
