Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi has alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is collaborating with foreign powers to destabilize the country, describing the party’s politics as rooted in “chaos and unrest.”

Speaking to the media outside Parliament, Abbasi claimed that PTI has been lobbying against Pakistan in the United States, including hiring lobbying firms to tarnish the country’s image. “PTI must first apologize for its actions before talking about negotiations,” he stated.

Allegations of Foreign Collusion

Abbasi asserted that PTI has employed 10 lobbying firms and sent 150 letters to members of the U.S. Congress, allegedly compromising Pakistan’s nuclear program. “No one has ever compromised on our nuclear program, and we won’t allow it now,” he emphasized.

He further claimed that under a so-called “California Plan,” PTI was tasked with rolling back Pakistan’s nuclear program, with promises of returning to power. Abbasi warned that PTI’s criticism of state institutions aligns with this alleged plan.

May 9 Incidents and Internal Unrest

The PML-N leader accused PTI of orchestrating attacks on May 9, which included targeting security personnel and utilizing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s resources to stage an attack on Islamabad. He said these acts were premeditated and aimed at destabilizing the country.

Defense of Pakistan’s Sovereignty

Abbasi reassured the public that Pakistan’s nuclear program is in safe hands and remains a key element of national security. He criticized PTI’s approach to governance and negotiations, asserting that “the state comes first, then politics.” He rejected any negotiations under duress, adding, “The state will not bow to threats.”

Call to Action

The PML-N leader vowed to expose PTI’s alleged connections with foreign powers, pledging to end “the chaos and divisive politics” he claims the party represents. Drawing a parallel with historical movements, he said, “Just as the menace of extremism was eradicated, so too will the threat of divisive politics.”

Abbasi reiterated that Pakistan’s sovereignty and security would remain uncompromised, urging unity to counter internal and external challenges.
