Peshawar: Advisor to the Information Ministry of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Dr. Saif, has condemned the federal government for “watching the situation in Kurram from a distance” and failing to address the ongoing crisis.
In a statement, Barrister Saif criticized the “fake” federal government for not fulfilling its responsibilities, adding that instead of taking action, it has been merely observing the turmoil in Kurram. He emphasized that Kurram is part of Pakistan, not Iran or Afghanistan.
He also accused the federal government of encouraging sectarianism and provincialism. Barrister Saif called on the Interior Minister to realize that his responsibility extends beyond Islamabad, as he is responsible for internal matters across the country.
Saif further stated that the critical situation in Kurram has been ignored, despite it being a border area. He pointed out that the Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, also has responsibilities in the region and should focus on them instead of making inappropriate statements. He criticized the Defense Minister for not taking proper action and added that if Pakistan had a legitimate Prime Minister, arrangements for air ambulances would have already been made for Kurram.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa advisor praised Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for using his own helicopter as an air ambulance for Kurram, contrasting this with Maryam Nawaz’s unfulfilled promises regarding air ambulance services.
Barrister Saif concluded by noting the difference between the effective leadership of “Form 45” chief ministers, who focus on practical work, and the “fake” chief ministers from “Form 47,” who only make false claims.
