Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that the opponents of religious seminaries will fail in their efforts, emphasizing that their stance is weak from a principled, constitutional, and legal perspective.
While addressing students at Jamia Islamia, Maulana Fazlur Rehman acknowledged the challenges faced by religious schools today but expressed optimism, saying, “InshaAllah, we will be successful, and those opposing the seminaries will fail.”
He criticized the opponents for attempting to create divisions among religious scholars, asserting, “The opponents’ position is weak, and they are trying to turn scholars against each other. But scholars are all brothers.”
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also highlighted the efforts of the Ittehad Tanzeemat-e-Madaris (Unity of Religious Seminaries), noting that they have successfully brought together scholars from different schools of thought. He urged the identification of the true enemy, emphasizing the need to discover who is sowing division among them.
