Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination has approved and issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the Pakistan national women’s football team to participate in a friendly match against Saudi Arabia’s women’s team. The team is set to depart for Doha, Qatar, today.
The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) issued the NOC on Tuesday following the ministry’s approval, clearing the way for the team’s departure.
Due to delays in the NOC issuance, not all selected players were able to join the squad. As a result, team captain Maria Khan and player Yusra Khan, both holding British citizenship, will travel directly from London to Doha.
The friendly match against the Saudi women’s team will be played on Saturday. Prior to the match, the national team will hold a three-day training camp in Qatar, with all expenses covered by the Saudi Football Federation.
The Pakistani squad also includes an eight-member support staff. Following the friendly match, the team will return to Pakistan on December 9
