Imran Khan arrested in six more cases

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been arrested in six cases related to the protests on September 28, October 4, and October 5. However, no arrest has been made yet in the 28 cases related to the November 24 protest.

The former Prime Minister is set to be given a 7-day physical remand in these six cases. The investigating officers from all six police stations have presented reports in court and sought a 7-day physical remand in cases, Express News reported.

The hearing of these cases took place in Adiala Jail, and all investigative officers were instructed to arrive at the jail. According to Prosecutor Ameen Manhas, the physical remand in the New Town case has been completed, while the other cases are set to be heard today.

Imran Khan faces a total of seven cases related to the September 28, October 4, and October 5 protests.

In court, the New Town physical remand case will be heard first, followed by the case related to the GHQ attack. The judge mentioned that after hearing these two cases, he would consider the applications for physical remand in the six new cases against the founder of PTI.

Imran Khan has been arrested in three additional cases related to the PTI protest on September 28 in Rawalpindi. The police arrived at Adiala Jail for his arrest, and these cases are also registered under anti-terrorism provisions.

According to the prosecutor, the investigation in the New Town case has been completed, and therefore no further physical remand will be sought. A request for judicial remand has been filed, with the investigating officer stating that the inquiry is complete and Imran Khan should be sent to jail on judicial remand.

The temporary New Town police station will be closed today, and the founder of PTI will be handed back to jail authorities. Imran Khan remained under physical remand for 11 days in the New Town case.
