President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko Arrives in Islamabad on Three-Day Visit

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has arrived in Islamabad for a three-day official visit.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed President Lukashenko at Nur Khan Airbase, with the Belarusian leader set to remain in Pakistan until November 27.

The reception ceremony was attended by key officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and senior government representatives.

During his visit, President Lukashenko will hold talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties between the two nations.

Agreements and MOUs Expected to Be Signed

Several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOUs) are expected to be signed during the visit, covering various areas of mutual interest.

Notably, a high-level Belarusian delegation, led by Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergey Aleinik, arrived in Pakistan a day earlier. The 68-member delegation includes senior cabinet ministers, prominent business figures, and investors from Belarus.

The visit has been arranged at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
