Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan for his alleged statements targeting Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir and Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa. Bilawal warned that such actions would have serious consequences and urged PTI leadership to clarify whether the statement came from Khan or someone else within the party.
Addressing a National Assembly session, Bilawal praised the people of Rahim Yar Khan for rejecting divisive politics and attributed the party’s victory in Punjab to the defeat of “the politics of backbiting and hatred.” He alleged that Imran Khan had attacked constitutional institutions to further his political interests and cautioned that if the statement was authentic, Khan and his party would be responsible for the consequences.
The PPP chief emphasized that the democratic system would withstand such challenges and urged the PTI leadership to clarify their position. The National Assembly session was summoned later in the evening, with reports suggesting that a proposed constitutional amendment might be introduced through a supplementary agenda.
