A local court in Karachi has granted bail to Natasha, the accused in the Karsaz incident, who was involved in a fatal car accident that killed a father and daughter. The court ordered her to submit a surety bond of one lakh rupees. A settlement was reached between Natasha and the victims’ family, where she paid over Rs 55 million as diyat (compensation) to the family of the deceased. Additionally, a relative of the deceased will be offered a job in a company associated with Natasha. A separate compensation was also provided to those injured in the incident. The family of the deceased submitted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) in the court, stating that the settlement was reached voluntarily. The court will pronounce its reserved decision on Natasha’s bail application in a narcotics case on September 9.
