The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department of Punjab has launched an innovative virtual registration card service, allowing vehicle owners to download an e-registration card for their vehicles. This digital initiative aims to simplify the process of carrying registration cards, making it more convenient for citizens during traffic stops and verifications.

Traditionally, vehicle owners were required to present a physical registration card, and failure to do so could result in fines. Recognizing the inconvenience of carrying physical cards, the department has introduced an online service enabling owners to download the e-registration card directly to their mobile phones.

To obtain the e-registration card, citizens can visit the official website of the excise department, enter their vehicle’s registration and chassis numbers, and download the digital card after verification. This ensures that vehicle registration information is always accessible, eliminating the need for physical cards.
