Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a slight decrease on Tuesday, with the rate per tola falling by Rs1,000 to close at Rs261,500. This decrease is in line with the fall in international gold rates. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs857, taking it to Rs224,194.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the international price of gold fell to $2,498 per ounce after a $5 decrease during the trading day. This downward trend in the global gold market has influenced the local market, leading to a decrease in gold prices in Pakistan.
On the other hand, silver prices in the local market remained stable, with no change from the previous rates, holding at Rs2,950 per tola. The fluctuating gold prices in the local market continue to be influenced by the ongoing dynamics of the international market, coupled with domestic factors, including currency exchange rates and demand within the country.
