The 61st annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) has begun at the Anatole Convention Centre in Dallas, Texas, with approximately 20,000 Muslims expected to attend. The event, which runs from August 31 to September 3, features over 150 prominent speakers, roundtable discussions, interfaith receptions, and various activities.
The convention aims to unite people of different faiths under the theme of peace and goodwill, addressing issues faced by the Muslim community in North America and applying pressure on American officials to resolve international issues affecting Muslims.
ISNA President Safaa Zarzour emphasized that the convention is an excellent platform for people of different religions, fostering social change and addressing societal challenges through religion.
The event includes recreational activities, sports, entertainment programs, and performances by singers and Qawwali sessions. The ISNA Bazaar features over 350 booths, making it the largest gathering of Muslims in the United States.
