The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has initiated an investigation into a potential conflict of interest involving a senior official from the Human Resources department. The inquiry was prompted after it was discovered that the official’s company participated in a bidding process for outdoor billboard advertising by the PCB.
The official’s company was immediately disqualified from the bidding process, and a formal investigation was launched. Initially, the official denied any connection to the company, but later admitted to his involvement, sparking concerns within the PCB.
A committee has been formed to thoroughly examine the matter and investigate any additional allegations. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has vowed to ensure transparency and promised strict actions if any wrongdoing is confirmed.
The investigation is ongoing, and the PCB has opted not to comment publicly until the inquiry is complete. This case follows a previous scandal where a former director was found to have funneled contracts to his own companies.
