Ishan Sharma, an Indian content creator, recently visited Harvard University in the US and was surprised to find “Made in Pakistan” merchandise at the institution’s student-run store, The Harvard Shop. Sharma, who has been documenting his trip on social media, shared photos and videos of his visit, including a picture of the jacket’s label, which read “Made in Pakistan”.
The discovery sparked a debate on social media, with some users advising Sharma against buying the product due to concerns about quality and value for money. One user commented, “Quality is real bad. I picked a few last year and 2-3 washes and they all are now good to mop the floor. Official merch.”
The incident highlights the global nature of trade and manufacturing, with products made in one country being sold in another, even in prestigious institutions like Harvard University.
