A tragic traffic accident occurred on Monday near Karsaz, resulting in the deaths of a father and daughter. The driver, a woman, was behind the wheel of an SUV that hit three motorcycles and a car, killing Imran Arif, 60, and his daughter Amna, 22, and wounding three others. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many calling for justice.
The woman driver, who has not been named, is currently undergoing psychiatric treatment at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). According to the police, she was driving in an “extremely rash and negligent manner” and has been charged with manslaughter. However, her lawyer has claimed that she is a psychosis patient and should be granted bail.
The court has remanded the suspect in police custody for one day, directing the investigating officer to produce her before the concerned judicial magistrate on Wednesday, provided she is sufficiently recovered and able to be produced.
