Four Security Personnel Martyred in Afghan Border Clashes

Four security personnel were martyred in clashes with militants on the Afghan border, according to sources. A huge quantity of sophisticated weapons and hand grenades were recovered from the militants, who were wanted in several cases, including attacks on security personnel and bank vans.

In a separate incident, a Frontier Corps personnel was martyred in an armed clash with Afghan forces in the Noshki area of Balochistan. The exchange of fire occurred when FC personnel went to investigate damage to the border fence and were met with gunfire from the Afghan side.

The martyred personnel were identified as Subedar Tariq, who suffered bullet wounds to the stomach. There were no reported casualties on the Afghan side.

No official statement has been issued by ISPR on the exchange of fire in Dera Ismail Khan.
