Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has held the Imran Khan-led government responsible for the rising cost of living in Pakistan. He stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government brought back the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to the country, leading to the current economic crisis.
Addressing a press conference alongside Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz in Lahore, Nawaz Sharif recalled his tenure as prime minister from 2013 to 2017, during which he claimed the economy was thriving. He attributed the current price hike to the PTI government’s policies.
Nawaz Sharif also announced relief for Punjab’s power consumers using up to 500 units of electricity for the next two months. He praised Hamza Shahbaz for reducing flour prices in the province.
