Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s enduring friendship with China, emphasizing that politics should not interfere in bilateral relations. He urged stakeholders to refrain from politicizing national development projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
During a meeting with a delegation of journalists returning from an official visit to China, PM Sharif highlighted China’s longstanding support for Pakistan. He expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality shown by the Chinese leadership and people during his recent visit.
PM Shehbaz stressed that China’s assistance during challenging times underscores the strength of the bilateral relationship. He assured that measures are in place to ensure the security of Chinese residents in Pakistan and highlighted the rapid implementation of CPEC’s phase two.
The prime minister also provided an update on the progress of memorandums of understanding and agreements signed during his visit. He underscored his commitment to using his time in office to advance Pakistan’s development and foster continued collaboration with China.
