APS Survivor Ahmad Nawaz Shines Bright at Oxford University

Ahmad Nawaz, a survivor of the Army Public School (APS) massacre, has made Pakistan proud by becoming the president of Oxford University’s Union. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Arif Alvi have lauded his inspirational journey, fueled by determination and sheer willpower.

Ahmad Nawaz, who lost his brother Harris in the horrific attack on APS Peshawar, has set an example worthy of emulation by the youth. He has joined his duties as President of the debating society of the prestigious university, becoming the first Pakistani to hold this position.

The prime minister tweeted, “Great honour and inspiring journey fuelled by determination and sheer willpower.” He added that the entire country was proud of Ahmad.

President Alvi also congratulated Ahmad, saying, “Our biggest hope are youth of Pakistan. I congratulate Ahmad Nawaz, an APS survivor who also lost his brother Harris in the heinous Peshawar massacre, on being elected as President of Oxford Union.”

Ahmad Nawaz thanked the prime minister for his words of appreciation and said he looked forward to working on empowering people through this platform.
