Jeddah( The COW News Digital) Pakistan has strongly rejected the controversial Greater Israel plan, calling it unacceptable and a threat to regional peace. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian access to Gaza during his address at the 21st extraordinary session of the OIC Foreign Ministers Council in Jeddah.
Addressing the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) emergency meeting, Dar thanked Turkey, Iran, and Palestine for convening the session. He condemned the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza, stating that innocent Palestinians are being subjected to collective punishment and targeted atrocities for over two years.
“The Greater Israel plan is unacceptable and poses a serious threat to peace. Pakistan firmly rejects this initiative,” Dar said. He urged the international community to work for an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire, calling for an end to forced evictions and illegal occupation.
Dar reiterated Pakistan’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab countries, highlighting that the crisis in Gaza represents a violation of international humanitarian law. He stressed that Israeli attacks on hospitals, schools, and refugee camps are clear breaches of human rights and international norms.
He further warned of the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza, describing a situation nearing famine, and stressed that urgent action is necessary to deliver food, medical aid, and relief supplies to the besieged population.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar arrived in Jeddah to participate in the OIC emergency session. Upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport, he was welcomed by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC, Fawad Sher, Ambassador Ahmed Farooq, and Pakistani Consul General Khalid Majeed.
Dar’s statements reflect Pakistan’s long-standing position advocating for Palestinian rights and regional stability. He called on all OIC member states to take collective action to ensure immediate humanitarian access, support ceasefire initiatives, and prevent further escalation in Gaza.
The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the need for sustained diplomatic efforts to safeguard civilians, protect essential infrastructure, and provide long-term solutions to the Palestinian crisis, stressing that peace and security in the Middle East depend on international cooperation and adherence to global law.
