Karachi ( The COW News Digital )Pakistani actress Mariyam Nafees has landed herself in trouble after referring superstar Mahira Khan and actress Hania Aamir on the ‘same level’ in the Industry. During her latest appearance in Tabish Hashmi’s show, the actress drew a comparison between the two stars, which has sparked a debate online.
Mariyum Nafees lately sat for an interview with comedian Tabish Hashmi for his show Hasna Mana Hai, where she was asked if she believes Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan are ranking on the same level in the showbiz Industry and are equally talented.
While responding, the female star approved of Tabish Hashmi’s words immediately and listed the qualities that she thinks both actresses share equally.
“Of course, why not? I mean both are globally recognized and widely admired as ‘ superstars’, known for their exceptional talent and beauty, so why not?” she said. “Most importantly, both are representing the country globally,” she added.
Mariyum Nafeess’s abovementioned perspective invited an opinion session in the comment box with many arguing that Hania Aamir is talented actress, undoubtedly, and has quickly gained recognition worldwide through hit projects, but her journey has only just begun. In contrast, Mahira Khan is a superstar with a list of iconic roles, a solid body of work, and years of consistent struggle and success, including her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Raees.
“No hate for hania but hania ka ab tak aik bhi aisa character nhi hai jo mahira ke roles ko challenge kar sake mahira performance in shehre zaaat , humsafar,bin roye , neeyat , hum Kahan ke sachy thy ,sadqay tumhare,” wrote an internet user.
