KARACHI( The COW News Digital)The mystery surrounding the death of Pakistani model and actress Humaira Asghar continues as the chemical examination report of samples taken from her body has been released. Authorities confirm that no traces of poisoning were found in the forensic analysis.

Humaira Asghar’s decomposed body was discovered on July 8 from a flat located in the Ittehad Commercial area of Karachi’s DHA Phase 6. The discovery came during a court-ordered visit after the landlord filed a case over unpaid rent. When court officials and a bailiff arrived and received no response at the door, they broke it open and found the actress dead inside.

According to investigative officials, nine biological samples from the body were sent to the forensic laboratory at the University of Karachi. The chemical analysis aimed to determine whether the actress had been poisoned or subjected to foul play. However, the report has ruled out poisoning as a cause of death.

DIG South Karachi stated that the final cause of death will be officially declared by the Medico-Legal Officer (MLO) after completing all procedural steps. Meanwhile, the post-mortem report had previously indicated that the body was in the final stage of decomposition, suggesting that Humaira Asghar had died nearly eight months ago.

The state of decomposition had initially raised suspicions, prompting police to explore the possibility of homicide or deliberate concealment. But with no signs of toxins or poison found in the chemical report, investigators are now shifting their focus to alternative causes, such as natural death or other medical conditions.

The late actress, who had appeared in various modeling assignments and TV productions, had reportedly been living alone in the flat. Neighbors and acquaintances stated that she had been missing from the public eye for months, which went unnoticed due to her reclusive lifestyle.

Law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation, reviewing phone records, financial transactions, and digital data to piece together her final days. Despite the absence of poison, police say they are not yet ruling out any possibility until the final MLO report is released.

The case has drawn public attention due to the mysterious nature of the death and prolonged delay in discovery.
