KARACHI ( The COW News Digital)As the investigation into the mysterious death of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar continues, new revelations have come to light regarding her final attempts to contact several individuals before her demise.
According to sources close to the investigation, forensic teams have successfully retrieved Humaira Asghar’s complete mobile phone data. Preliminary analysis indicates that on October 7, 2024, Humaira attempted to contact 14 different individuals, including a well-known drama director based in Islamabad. However, none of the individuals responded to her calls or messages.
The investigating team revealed that the said director has now been traced and contacted by authorities as part of the ongoing inquiry. Humaira’s body was discovered on July 8, 2025, in her apartment on the fourth floor of a residential building in Defence Phase 6, Karachi.
During the search of her residence, investigators recovered three mobile phones, a tablet, a handwritten diary, and several documents. The diary reportedly contained the passwords to one of the mobile phones and the tablet. Two of the mobile phones were found unlocked, while the third device and the tablet were initially inaccessible due to malfunctioning hardware.
Humaira reportedly had three SIM cards registered in her name, all inserted into the three different phones. Investigators found a total of 2,215 contacts stored across the devices. Forensic examination is underway to determine the nature and frequency of communication with key individuals in her contact list.
Authorities also disclosed that Humaira attempted to reach out to her brother earlier in October, though the nature of that conversation is still under review.
Despite obtaining the digital evidence, investigators stated that no definitive leads have emerged from the phone data thus far. However, police emphasize that they are pursuing all possible angles, including foul play, mental health issues, or personal disputes.
The cause of death is yet to be determined, and officials are awaiting medical and post-mortem reports to confirm whether it was suicide, accidental death, or homicide. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, prompting widespread speculation in both media and entertainment circles.
