During the meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu firmly dismissed the possibility of a two-state solution, calling it a threat to Israel’s existence. “A sovereign Palestinian state could become a platform for Israel’s destruction,” he stated. Netanyahu went further to assert that his government, with U.S. support, is actively exploring options to relocate Gaza residents. “If Palestinians wish to leave, they should be allowed to. We are looking for a better future for them,” he said.
This conversation unfolds as regional diplomacy intensifies in the wake of the Israel-Iran war ceasefire. Trump also confirmed his administration is open to direct negotiations with Tehran, indicating that U.S. sanctions on Iran might be lifted “at the right time.”
