Karachi (The COW News Digital)A grand passing out parade was held at Pakistan Naval Academy PNS Rahbar in Karachi, where Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event marked the commissioning of the 123rd Midshipmen and 31st Short Service Commission Course cadets into the Pakistan Navy.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the formal arrival of the chief guest. A smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan Navy personnel presented the Guard of Honour to Field Marshal Asim Munir as he arrived at the academy grounds.
During the parade, the Army Chief inspected the formations and witnessed the immaculate drill performances by the cadets. Addressing the gathering, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir commended the professionalism, discipline, and dedication of the young naval officers. He emphasized the strategic significance of the Pakistan Navy in safeguarding the country’s maritime interests and reiterated the armed forces’ commitment to ensuring national security.
As a highlight of the ceremony, awards were distributed to the top-performing cadets. Cadet Abdul Rehman received the prestigious Sword of Honour, the highest accolade awarded to the overall best performing cadet during training. The award symbolizes leadership, discipline, and excellence in military education and performance.
The passing out parade, held under strict naval traditions, was attended by senior naval officers, diplomats, parents of cadets, and distinguished guests.
