AUSTRIA:( The COW News Digital )–The United States has carried out a precision airstrike on a nuclear-related facility near the Iranian city of Isfahan, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed, TCND reported on Sunday.

According to the IAEA, the targeted site was a centrifuge production workshop involved in building equipment for uranium enrichment.

The agency clarified that no nuclear material was present at the facility at the time of the strike.

The attack focused on damaging Iran’s capability to construct enrichment machinery, rather than targeting any active nuclear stockpiles.

Reassuring the global community, the IAEA stated that there is no risk of radioactive contamination resulting from the airstrike, as the workshop did not contain any enriched uranium or other nuclear material.

The strike marks a significant escalation amid increasing tensions between Iran and the United States, especially following recent confrontations in the region.
