Political leaders have voiced concerns over the leadership and internal turmoil within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). In a recent discussion on Express News’ program Kal Tak, PTI leader Faisal Chaudhry defended party decisions, explaining the elevation of Chairman Gohar as an internal measure due to legal issues and disqualifications faced by Imran Khan. He emphasized that PTI does not follow hereditary politics and called the matter an internal affair.
However, PML-N leader Akhtar Wali Khan criticized the party’s state, suggesting that Imran Khan has lost trust within his own ranks. He expressed skepticism about PTI’s ability to mobilize support across key regions such as Punjab, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, PPP leader Sharmila Farooqi highlighted the deep divisions and chaos within PTI, stating, “I still don’t understand who is actually running this party.” She pointed out the frequent leadership changes every three months and urged PTI’s parliamentary members to focus on their legislative roles instead of constant political upheaval.
The comments come amid ongoing uncertainty about PTI’s direction and ability to sustain its political momentum.
