In a rare act of courage and integrity, a mother in Karachi turned her fugitive son back over to authorities after he escaped from Malir District Jail during a mass breakout the previous night.
According to reports, when the escaped prisoner reached home, his mother immediately confronted him, advised him to do the right thing, and personally escorted him back to the prison under police supervision.
Outside the jail, the mother handed her son over to law enforcement, pleading with the officers not to harm him. “My son made a mistake, and I’ve brought him back myself. Please show him mercy,” she reportedly told them with folded hands.
The incident has gone viral on social media, with citizens widely praising the mother’s integrity, calling her a symbol of moral strength and the true face of parental responsibility in challenging times.
