Junaid Akbar Resigns as Chairman of Public Accounts Committee

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly, Junaid Akbar, has formally stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

According to party sources, Junaid Akbar submitted his resignation to PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, stating that the position was a trust given to him by the party, and he was relinquishing it in accordance with party leadership’s directives.

Junaid Akbar also held a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, during which the matter of his resignation from the PAC chairmanship was discussed.

His departure from the key parliamentary oversight role marks a significant development within PTI’s internal reshuffling amid evolving political dynamics.
