The Indian Army has debunked false claims made by sections of the Indian media regarding Pakistan’s alleged ceasefire violations. For hours, prominent media figures, including journalist Barkha Dutt, spread false reports suggesting that Pakistani drones were flying over Indian territory, allegedly violating the ceasefire.

Barkha Dutt, in particular, claimed on social media that Pakistani drones had been spotted and intercepted in Jammu, linking the alleged incident to Prime Minister Modi’s speech. However, the Indian Army swiftly refuted these claims, clarifying that no such drone activity had been reported from the Pakistani side.

The Indian Army issued a statement confirming that there was no evidence of Pakistani drones violating Indian airspace, and that the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) remained peaceful and fully under control.

Earlier, Pakistani security sources had also criticized the Indian media for spreading fabricated news, accusing them of publishing false reports about ceasefire violations. According to these sources, no Pakistani drone had crossed the border or violated the LoC.

Security officials in Pakistan reiterated that Indian media outlets had once again spread misleading information, adding that Pakistan had adhered to the ceasefire. In contrast, they pointed out that it was Indian drones that were violating the ceasefire along the LoC and the Working Boundary.

This development underscores the ongoing media-driven narrative in both countries amidst escalating tensions, highlighting the need for accurate reporting and accountability.
