Quetta Gladiators have set a new record for the highest total in the history of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) by scoring a massive 263 runs against Islamabad United in a thrilling encounter at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
Under the leadership of Saud Shakeel, the Gladiators posted a formidable total of 263/3 in their 20 overs. This new record-breaking score surpassed the previous highest of 262 runs, set by Multan Sultans in 2023 against Quetta Gladiators at the same venue.
Key contributions came from Rilee Rossouw and Hassan Nawaz, who both scored brilliant centuries. Rossouw smashed 104 runs, while Nawaz contributed with 100 runs, leading the charge for Quetta.
In response, Islamabad United was unable to chase down the towering target, collapsing for just 154 runs in 19.3 overs, handing Quetta Gladiators a dominant 109-run victory.
Before the match, the Pakistan national anthem was played in the stadium, followed by a minute of silence to honor those who had lost their lives in recent Indian attacks.
