The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a substantial cash reward for the Indian team following their victory in the Champions Trophy.
According to the BCCI, the Indian team will receive 58 crore Indian rupees as a reward for winning the prestigious tournament.
The BCCI stated that the hefty prize money will be distributed among the players, coaching staff, support personnel, and members of the selection committee who contributed to the team’s triumph.
ICC Announces Prize Money for Champions Trophy Winner
Earlier, following the Champions Trophy held in Pakistan, the International Cricket Council (ICC) awarded the winning Indian team a prize of 22,40,000 USD.
In addition, the runner-up team, New Zealand, received 11,20,000 USD.
It is worth mentioning that the Champions Trophy final, played on March 9, saw India defeat New Zealand by 4 wickets to clinch the title.
