Jordan’s King Abdullah discusses Gaza ceasefire with U.S. president, reaffirms rejection of Palestinian displacement and calls for two-state solution.

After meeting with the U.S. president, King Abdullah stated that Jordan would make decisions on Gaza based on its national interests. Egypt also once again condemned Donald Trump’s controversial statement.

Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi postpones U.S. visit, was scheduled to travel on February 18. Egypt also announces a reconstruction plan for Gaza. The foreign ministry says a viable plan exists that does not involve displacement.

Saudi cabinet rejects forced displacement of Palestinians, condemns Israel’s extremist statements. Under the chairmanship of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi cabinet reaffirmed its opposition to any plan involving the forced displacement of Palestinians. The cabinet also condemned Israel’s extremist rhetoric regarding Palestinians, emphasizing that the Palestinian cause remains a priority for Saudi Arabia. It reiterated that a two-state solution is the only path to lasting peace in the region.
