Rawalpindi: Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has once again called on overseas Pakistanis to stop sending remittances to the country.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Aliema Khan, Imran Khan’s sister, revealed that the PTI founder had urged Pakistanis abroad to join the movement to halt remittances in order to save the rule of law in the country.

Aliema Khan stated that their lawyers had gone to court to seek the dismissal of the Toshakhana-II case, calling it an unjust trial that is being pursued merely to keep Imran Khan imprisoned. She alleged that the case is being heard solely to prevent him from being released from jail.

She also accused Justice Inam Amin Minhas’ brother of being involved as the prosecutor in the May 9 case against Imran Khan and claimed that he was quickly appointed as a judge in the Islamabad High Court. Furthermore, she pointed out that Judge Gul Hassan Aurangzeb, who had been overseeing Imran Khan’s cases for over a year, was replaced with new judges, causing delays in the proceedings.

Aliema Khan claimed the authorities’ intention is not to free Imran Khan but to continue with fake cases. She specifically criticized the false case related to the Al-Qadir University, in which Imran Khan was sentenced to 14 years. She accused the judiciary of concealing the truth and alleged that the judges are rushing to deliver swift verdicts in these cases to avoid public exposure of the false nature of the charges.

She concluded by asserting that the overseas Pakistanis should stop sending remittances, emphasizing that this financial support is sustaining the “illegitimate government” and the “establishment” behind it. Aliema Khan stressed that judges who attempt to deliver justice are sidelined, and Pakistanis must stand with those judges who are determined to deliver justice despite the growing challenges.
