Despite his reputation for dominating bowlers, Afridi admitted that facing Australian legend Glenn McGrath was a significant challenge.
In a recent podcast, Afridi praised McGrath, one of the finest fast bowlers in cricket history, for his impeccable line and length, as well as his ability to generate swing and bounce. Afridi acknowledged that dealing with McGrath’s bowling was tough, particularly his consistency and precision.
Additionally, Afridi made an important revelation about young Pakistani opener, Saim Ayub. He confirmed that due to an injury, Ayub would not be part of Pakistan’s squad for the Champions Trophy.
