Following the judicial decision against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar outlined the party’s next steps and clarified the party’s position on negotiations with the government.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar confirmed that talks with the government would continue. However, he set a seven-day deadline for progress on the commission; if no advancement is made within this period, negotiations will cease.

Gohar further criticized the judicial system, calling the recent ruling an addition to a series of controversial decisions, and accused the authorities of discriminatory and unjust treatment. He revealed that PTI would file an appeal against the decision in the High Court in the coming days.

Describing the 190 million-pound case as a politically motivated one, Gohar reiterated that PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, had committed no crime or gained any personal benefit from the case. He emphasized that after two years of ongoing injustices, the party was no longer surprised by the ruling.

Gohar also affirmed Bushra Bibi’s unwavering support for her husband, describing the verdict as predictable and baseless. He assured that just as previous convictions were overturned, this one too would ultimately be quashed.

According to Gohar, Imran Khan reacted to the verdict with a smile, dismissing it as an unjust decision.
