New Ranking of the World’s Most Powerful Passports Released

Global: The latest ranking of the world’s most powerful passports has been released, revealing Pakistan in the 103rd position and China ranked 60th. Despite efforts by the government to stabilize the economy and reduce the risk of default, the Pakistani passport continues to rank among the weakest globally as the year 2025 begins.

According to the latest ranking by Henley & Partners, Singapore holds the title of the world’s most powerful passport, granting its citizens visa-free access to 195 countries.

Japan ranks second, followed by Finland, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, and Spain in the third position. Austria, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden occupy the fourth spot.

Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom share the fifth position, with Australia and Greece tied for sixth. Canada, Malta, and Poland hold the seventh rank, while the Czech Republic and Hungary are in eighth place. Estonia and the United States are in ninth place, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has the tenth most powerful passport.

Other notable rankings include Russia and Turkey at 46th, South Africa at 48th, Kuwait at 50th, Saudi Arabia at 58th, China at 60th, India at 85th, and Bangladesh and Palestine at 100th. Pakistan is ranked 103rd, with Afghanistan at the very bottom in the 106th position.
